APGA ahead in Imo’s Inconclusive Election

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was ahead in the Imo State governorship election from the results announced yesterday.

Returning Officer Prof. Enoch Akobundu declared the election inconclusive.

Akobundu said because of the close race and the outstanding results from three Local Governments, the outcome of the poll could not be announced.

From the results so far released by Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), APGA won in 12 local governments and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 11.

Election is inconclusive in, Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Ngor-Okpala Local Government Areas.

APGA is believed to have captured about 16 seats in the House of Assembly election. ACN got one and PDP 6 - By Emma Mgbeahurike, Owerri.
