Nigeria defeated Mali 2-0 and reached to the final game of African Youth Championship

Nigeria booked a place in the African Youth Championship final after defeating Mali 2-0 in the semifinals on Thursday

The Nigeria national team made it to the tournament game of the U-20 African Championship in South Africa by beating Mali 2-0 in the semifinals today.

An early goal by Nwofor Innocent in the 22nd minute and one by Okoro Stanley in injury time with a penalty edged Nigeria into the final game of ACN U-20 championship.

Mali players wasted more chances to find the back of the net, their efforts denied by the Super Eagles’ defence.

Nigeria are waiting for the winner of the Egypt and Cameroon game that will be played later today to see who their foe will be in the final match.

The semi-finalists in the African tournament will play in the World Cup, which will take place in Colombia later this year - By Mahmoud Mohamed.
