The monarchs, under the aegis of Orlu Zonal Council of Traditional Rulers, consisting of over 120 monarchs in the 12 local government areas that make up the zone, also endorsed ex-governor Achike Udenwa, who is contesting the senatorial seat for Orlu zone on the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
LEADERSHIP gathered that these endorsements took place at the palace of Eze Emmanuel Okeke at Amaifeke in Orlu LGA.
Reliable sources at the meeting hinted that Eze Okeke who is the Deputy Chairman of Orlu Zonal Council of Traditional Rulers, stated that a critical review of Okorocha’s agenda led the traditional rulers to endorse him, and stated that his mission was in tandem with President Jonathan’s at the national level.
The monarchs also endorsed Chief Udenwa for Senate on the grounds that he performed creditably in office as the governor of the state and attracted meaningful projects to the zone within the period.
In another development, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State and Rochas Campaign Organisation have perfected arrangement for the official presentation of a manifesto, tagged “The Peoples Manifesto” by the party’s governorship candidate.
According to the statement signed by Lady Chioma Ogoke, Director of Media, Rochas Campaign Organization that was made available to LEADERSHIP in Owerri, the event will hold on Monday February 21 at Rochas Convention Centre Owerri, Imo State.
The manifesto, according to Ogoke, is a well articulated policies and programes that will drive massive infrastructural development, poverty alleviation, free education, skill acquisition and investment flow to the state in the next four years.
