Nigerians resident in Britain, on Friday 6th of January, 2012; staged protests on the streets of London to express their anger over the Federal government’s decision.
According to agency reports monitored in Lagos, Nigerians, including students gathered at the London Charing Cross Station from where the protest kicked-off at 12.30 p.m.
“The London Metropolitan Police hours ago granted permit to Nigerian students in diaspora and Nigerians in diaspora under whose umbrella the Friday rally will hold in London,” the organizers had reportedly said on Thursday, a day prior to the protest.
The London protests come three days after civil society groups launched similar mass actions across the country to denounce the Federal government's action and force it to revert fuel pump price to N65.
