Fake Power Horse energy drink in Aba

Aba Special Zone of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has alerted the public of fake Power Horse energy drink in circulation in the local market.

The fake Power Horse energy drink according to NAFDAC officials is not registered in the country and does not have the agency’s number inscribed on its pack. They stated that the authentic Power Horse energy drink, which is registered with the agency, is imported into the country by Charvet Nigeria Limited, based in Lagos.

Festus Anumba, deputy director/Head Aba Special Zone of NAFDAC, who led a team to mop up the fake product from Cemetery Market, Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State explained that the authorized importers of the product alerted his zone of the availability of the faked version of the product in circulation in the area.

However, the affected traders complained that they were not aware that the products were fake, so the NAFDAC boss has promised to organize a seminar to enlighten the traders on how to identify original products.
