The Nigerian born business mogul made the statement in his country home – Umuchima in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State while appraising some of the policies of the governor.
In this interview with Daily Sun, Mbisiogu praised the people of the state for voting Rochas Okorocha into power as he believe that the rescue mission agenda of the new government in state can only see the light of the day, if steady power supply is guaranteed hence Imo State according to him will be investors heaven and unemployed youths in the state will be engaged in meaningful ventures. He criticized the previous governments both state and Federal for allowing the sector deteriorate to the extent of being generator driven. Mr. Mbisiogu proffers solution to ending the Energy crisis in Nigeria and urges Owelle Okorocha to make it his focus.

Do you see the new government in Imo delivere democracy dividends to the people?
The people of the state trusted in the ability of His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha to lead them to Eldorado. How Okorocha goes about achieving this, to me should be the concern of all because he needs our support to succeed and I assure you that Imo citizens in the diaspora are willing to come back and support the rescue team to transform the state. Rochas, we all know before now had touched so many lives through his Rochas Foundation, unlike in the past whereby the state was handed over to a job seeker. Imo people expressed that power belongs to the people, in spite of all odours we stood our ground that the last administration in the state must go and we ensure this was achieved.
How to attract investors to Imo
Nigeria is a land yet to be tapped, land flowing with milk and honey, our resources are laying untapped and investors know and they want to come and invest in the country but are discourage by lack of steady power supply. I have said it severally that, no matter how much we spend in jingles and adverts in the foreign media to convince investors to come and invest here, will continue to be a mirage because if you fix power sector, investors will come on their own to invest. Did Ghana advertise in international media before virtually all-multinational and local companies moved to Ghana? I decide to over flog the issue of power because I know how much investment opportunities we loose every year yet our people are jobless when if we have steady power, youths will be self employed and self-reliance but in the absence of steady power our God given resources will remain untapped. Major network providers in the country charge high tariff because they run their generators on diesel and of course consumers are the ones that pay for the diesel burnt daily to provide service while countries with steady power charge low tariff. I advise Governor Rochas Okorocha to visit China and engage an energy company that will give the state steady power and thereby make the state economically viable and that is the only way to generate employment for our teeming youths.
Free education in Imo
It is a welcome development and it is achievable considering that governor Okorocha did it outside government why won’t he accomplish it now that he is in power. My worry is that we turned out enough graduates without provision of jobs, our universities should train people to be job creators, job generators and not job seekers or how will you feel as a parent after suffering to educate a child and five or ten years after graduation he/she had no job, the environment is conducive for him or her to start something, and the major handicap facing young school leavers is lack of steady power supply. If there is steady power, the person can start a small business, that is how it is done in China. I’m surprise when I hear government complain of youth restiveness, the reason is not far, the youths are idle and must be engaged hence when what is preferable is not available what is available becomes preferable.
4th tier of government, what is your take?
I said the people gave governor Okorocha blank cheque to administer the state and which ever way he deemed fit to achieve result is welcome no matter the nomenclature. Some groups had criticize the idea of 4th tier of government initiated in Imo by the governor, but I know that the governor is careful and wont wait to make early mistake. I will caution His Excellency to deal directly with communities by selecting popular representatives of the autonomous communities from town unions to avert situation where traditional ruler hijack the concept and rubbish the idea. The idea is excellent and one of the ways the state government can monitor projects awarded to be executed in communities and ensure it is done as specify.
